Sg Kedongdong, Bandar Batang Berjuntai, Daerah Hulu Selangor.

Hi there,

Welcome to my blog - Malaysian Traveler. This is my 3rd adventure trip. Destination Sg Kedongdong. To get to this place you need to go to the town of Batang Berjuntai, you will come across a junction to Batang Berjuntai - Genting Highlands road, where you need to turn left.

This road leads to to Awana Genting and Genting Highlands. Please see map of Sg Kedongdong location

Th journey from KL is about 1.5 hours normal traffic speed. The river is quite long. Lots of plam oil estates. You will reach the access to Sg Kedongdong , there's some shops and house. there's NO PROPER SIGN BOARD.

You can't see the river from the road shoulder. There's a TRAIL about 50 to 60 meters you need to follow before you can reach the river/water falls. You can hear the water falls and water streaming through and visitors.

Its a shallow river and low water fall stream, which is perfect for family outings. The water is COLD, please be reminded. It's fresh and the water is pristine.

This is the trail you will encounter on the way to the water falls. You get the real jungle trekking feeling.

I was AGHAST on the first thing i saw - rubbish dumped on the river banks. Totally frustrated by the lack of civic mindedness of the visitors.

How inconsiderate can you be? A simple thing like clearing the rubbish you made and the visitors have no civic duty to keep the place clean.

Please bring rubbish bags and bring it with you and throw it in Batang Berjuntai town, there are lots of rubbish bins. I was heartsick looking at the amount of rubbish dumped there. It was all done by ADULTS.

The waterfall and river was surrounded with lush jungle. Whats interesting there's lots of boulders at the waterfall which creates the mini waterfalls. One of the cleanest waterfall/river. The water is pristine clear. Totally unpolluted by industrial waste, except for the food rubbish leftover by the visitors.

Boulders everywhere. Lots of creepers coverings the boulders. Beautiful green moss.

The water is shallow , about 4 feet deep only or waist high for a male adult. You will be mesmerized by the natural beauty.

This one I call the FISH boulder. Looks like a fish doesn't it.

This boulder looks like a baby elephant bathing in the river. I spent about 3 hrs getting soaked in the river and sitting under the waterfall. Never felt so REFRESHED in my life.

Isn't this place worthwhile preserving for the coming generations to come. Below on the way back to the car park.

I have seen roosters in my schooldays when there were kampungs in the cities. This roosters were beautiful and handsome fellas.

I also came across the beautiful the ginger plant which grows to gather with the BAMBOO plants. Beautiful reddish plants.

LETS KEEP OUR RIVERS CLEAN FOR EVERYONE. EDUCATE OUR CHILDREN SO THAT THEY WILL APPRECIATE OUR NATURAL WONDERS.
