Lentang Forest Reserve is situated along KM48 of Kuala Lumpur - Karak highway. Its about 20 minutes drive from Gombak Toll. A bit tricky to get there, look out for the SIGNBOARD, 4km after the turn-off to Berjaya Hills Resort from Kuala Lumpur, or 12km south of Bentong.
Its a serene place, cars are allowed to enter the Forest Reserve, there's security at the entrance you need to pay a RM6.00 per car or RM3 per person as entrance fee. Lentang Forest Reserve has a river flowing through from uphill right down to the entrance of the Forest Reserve. Absolutely a must enjoy place for nature lover.
It's a beautiful and scenic place. It has small rapids upstream, u can walk or take your car right up to the end. The river is clean, refreshing and very cool. The water is clear if you go upstream right to the end of the car park about 1.5 kms to 2.0kms. Further down stream , the river is more brownish. You can see this as you enter the forest reserve. There's barbecue pits along a few spots down stream. I suggest please don't do any cooking along RIVER banks. Lets not pollute our beautiful river.
This is a Forest Reserve and its our responsibility to Keep it CLEAN and PRISTINE for EVERYONE.
The water is really cool and refreshing. I spent more than an hour inside the river, dunking every now and then. It was totally REFRESHING for my body. I hope you will enjoy this place too.
There's a few suspension wooden bridges. Now please TAKE PRECAUTION as there's 1 bridge has been closed off. Remenber this is a Forest Reserve , there are Dangers when going into the forest areas. Tree trucks , debris all fall down can can cause serious injuries. So do TAKE PRECAUTION especially with kids.
Note : Due to MCO, the Office and Toilets are closed and the place was not kept up.
